I love teaching writing classes. I love coaching one-on-one as writers create characters, develop story ideas, imagine the world, and write the script. I coach writers on every level from just-beginning to experienced professional. There is no bigger joy for me than when a writer’s story takes off and an audience laughs, is moved, and finds more meaning in life.

I’m known especially for helping writers create unique, memorable characters. I teach the nuts and bolts of story craft—how to shape a story—in clear, gettable ways. Very important, I nurture writers. I see the soul of the work and reflect that soul back to the writer. I’m a caring friend as a writer navigates the sometimes rocky terrain of turning what lives in the imagination into a well-told story.

Hourly Consulting
This is a good choice for you if you have a full script written already and want to take it to the next level. I will read your play or screenplay, write notes and meet with you to go over what’s working and wonderful, and to offer suggestions and options for the next draft of your script. Coaching
This option is for writers who want coaching/mentoring during the process of writing. Our first session will be about where you are with your writing project and the goals you have for it.
